What is the cost of a BER Assessment?
The cost varies depending on the size and type of the building. Generally speaking the larger the net floor area the more expensive the assessment due to the time it takes to make all the necessary calculations but other items like multiple extensions and heat pumps to a property will also need to be taken into account.
How long will the assessment take?
The site assessment or dwelling survey will take from 1hr to 2hrs, depending on size of the property.
When will I receive my BER Rating?
The BER Guys work model revolves around getting all certs issued between 24 - 48hrs.
Delays can be expected once third party information is pending.
Is a BER Cert required when selling my home?
Short answer - Yes
Long answer - BER Certificates are valid for 10years and unless you made major renovations or upgraded your home heating system your BER Cert will still be valid.
